photo gallery update

I’ve added a few new works to the galleries.  Please take a look.

Luciano…..

This is Luciano, one of my three Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.  He’s a real poser and loves having his photo taken.  He’s 15 months old and a bit of a terror at times.

downtown…..

This is a section of Melbourne City taken from the Eureka Tower.  I’ve given it a sepia tone and slight second image texture to age it a bit.

St Andrews…..

This is a two image panorama taken at St Andrews Beach, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia.  The light that day had a beautiful softness about it.

the treeline…..

This was taken in the hills around Boneo, Mornington Peninsula, Australia.  I’ve added lighting in photoshop and a second image texture plus contrast.

chaos…..

This image is from the hills surrounding Cape Schanck, Mornington Peninsula, Australia.  The hills are bare and roll beautifully.  The texture I have added creates a kind of a chaotic fury approaching behind the hills.

a challenge win!

My image “afternoon delight” was the winner of a “redbubble” challenge, “human silhouette”

This image has been quite a popular one having won several challenges and featured extensively across the site.

It was taken at St Andrews Beach, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia.

This print is available for sale here

latest image releases

“homeward bound” was taken along the Rye foreshore, Mornington Peninsula, Australia. It’s a group of eight pelicans heading home late afternoon. They crept up on me as I caught them out of the cornner of my eye. I had my auto focus turned on which wouldn’t lock onto anything due to the limited light and camera in manual mode so I pretty much had to hope for the best

“the 25 steps” was taken near the Beijing section of the Great Wall of China last year when I was there with work for the Olympic Games. It’s about an hours drive out of Beijing, through rural town which are the size of cities! It was a misty and foggy day and I was annoyed that I wasn’t able to see the whole section of the wall but the atmosphere created by the mist and fog was amazing.

my latest images

I’ve added some new images to my website.

dream.....

“Dream” was taken in January this year near the entrance of the National Golf Course at Cape Schanck.  Originally with a bright blue sky, I added a concrete texture to give a dreamlike effect

3116866-3-ethereal
“Ethereal” was taken from the balcony at Cape Schanck, Victoria,  Australia early this year.  This was taken at the same time as “a word from above”.  the sky was absolutely amazing with colour and light.  This is virtually as it was captured in the camera with only a slight contrast adjustment in photoshop.
grasslands.....

grasslands.....

“Grasslands”  was taken in the sand dunes of the Rosebud foreshore, Victoria, Australia.  Originally the sky was dull and overcast so I played around with levels and contrasts in photoshop then added a second image background layer to take the image away from the seaside setting.
the beginning in blue

the beginning in blue

“The beginning in blue” was taken at the same time as “ethereal”. I changed the colour balance in the camera to achieve the blue colouring.
