2010 puppy calendar added to the list!

I’ve just added a delightful doggie calendar featuring my Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in various stages from pups till now.  Figuring the eldest is not yet three, that’s not a long time but some classic and cute images there.

There are many other themes available as well.  See them here.

Plus a little bit of self promotion along with some bragging rights today.  I have been featured in the Australian Photographic Society’s Online November Newsletter, which goes out to all members of the Australian Photographic Society’s Contemporary Division.  What a huge thrill it was to have been asked and to contribute.  This is the second time I have been featured in an APS article, the first was when asked to contribute to the APS suppliment magazine, Image, some of my recent images of my trip to Beijing.

The images that were included can be seen here.

The article, including pictures and a bit about how I got into photography, plus a pretty bad photo of me.  The full newsletter can be read by clicking the link below.

photo gallery update

I’ve added a few new works to the galleries.  Please take a look.

Luciano…..

This is Luciano, one of my three Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.  He’s a real poser and loves having his photo taken.  He’s 15 months old and a bit of a terror at times.

downtown…..

This is a section of Melbourne City taken from the Eureka Tower.  I’ve given it a sepia tone and slight second image texture to age it a bit.

St Andrews…..

This is a two image panorama taken at St Andrews Beach, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia.  The light that day had a beautiful softness about it.

the treeline…..

This was taken in the hills around Boneo, Mornington Peninsula, Australia.  I’ve added lighting in photoshop and a second image texture plus contrast.

chaos…..

This image is from the hills surrounding Cape Schanck, Mornington Peninsula, Australia.  The hills are bare and roll beautifully.  The texture I have added creates a kind of a chaotic fury approaching behind the hills.

new high key black and white images

I’ve created some wonderful high key, black and white images for a new project I am working on.  At the moment they are only aimed at pets, as listed in the Owned by Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (OBCKCS) group of which I am a member.

I am offering to turn happy snaps of pets into wonderful high key balck and white prints.

This idea can be adapted to almost any subject and if you are interested, just drop me a line at amancuso@galleriamancuso.com or head to the contact page.

You can check out my new works here.
